Renowned Wellington blues musician, and founding member of the well established Capital Blues Club, Pip Payne, has long been associated with some of the cream of the Capital Blues scene. Over the years, his blues train has moved through swing, country and gospel. Settling on 'trance blues'. This style was championed by the likes of RL Burnside.

Pip's syncopated slide guitar style moves smoothly from roots, to rock n roll, to Gospel and back again.

He has put together a Gospel and Blues Train band for this year's festival that is sure to impress.

Get on board and be ready to be swayed by rhythms old and new, fast and slow.
