Ngaio Repair Cafe, organised in and by Ngaio Union Church, is part of the worldwide Repair Café movement to cut down waste and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Our local volunteer repairers will look at and try to fix all sorts of household gear: wooden, metal, electrical, electronic, earthenware, computer, fabric, clothing, leather, stringed, cardboard – as long as it’s small enough for you to bring.
While you wait to have your item looked at, tea and coffee and cold drink are provided. You may well meet your neighbours! Children with parents are welcome. We have some basic materials on site but if your broken thing needs specific parts (e.g. zip, plug) please bring those along.
