The HyperTheremin is an invisible, magical, touchless musical instrument, designed and performed by Dutch composer Jan-Bas Bollen.

In this short concert at the Adam Art Gallery, he will create captivating electronic works of sonic and visual poetry by manipulating the invisible controls of the HyperTheremin, revealed only by a precise choreography of his hands in mid-air.

Cleverly programmed faders and switches are positioned in a virtual, multi-dimensional console, physically detached from the real world. Bollen’s feedback consists of the choreography’s result itself: sounds from loudspeakers and visuals from the projector.
