Northland Fritter Festival 2023

After a 3-year break, the Northland Fritter Festival is finally back on the summer calendar on 11 March at Semenoff Stadium in Whangārei.

The Northland Fritter Festival is a world-class wine, food and music festival showcasing the best of Northland’s fritter culture.

Enjoy catching up with friends and grooving to some sweet summer tunes with a chilled wine or beer from some of Northland's top vineyards and breweries, a 5-star fritter and a crowd of like-minded foodies.

Featuring live music from Coterie, Summer Thieves, Strangely Arousing, Otium, RSB 2.0, Tempist Fijut and Caged!

Cafes, restaurants and food vendors will be competing for the Best Fritter Trophy (sponsored by Climatech) and the PAK'nSAVE People’s Choice. Vineyards and breweries will compete for the Best Vineyard/ Brewery (sponsored by Kia Tupato).

Kids under 2yrs old are free.

Bus Tickets
Three special bus services will be provided for the event. Bus tickets must be purchased with a Fritter Festival ticket. A separate bus ticket will be issued to present to the driver.

All buses are due to arrive at Semenoff Stadium, Okara Drive, Whangarei between 11.30am– 12.00pm and will depart Semenoff Stadium from Okara Drive straight after the festival finishes at approximately 8pm.

Route 1: Matapouri to Semenoff Stadium Return
Pick up points and departing times: Matapouri dairy 11am, Tutukaka Service Station 11.15am, Ngunguru dairy 11.30am

Route 2: Whangarei Heads to Semenoff Stadium Return
Pick up Points and departing times: McLeods Bay The Deck, Reotahi Rd 11.15am, Parua Bay School 11.25am, Parua Bay Tavern Car Park, 11.30am, Onerahi Tavern Car Park 11.45am

Route 3: Mangawhai to Semenoff Stadium return
Pick up points and departing times: Departs Waipu Cove dairy 10.50am, Waipu Fire Station, Nova Scotia Drive 11.00am, Ruakaka shops 11.30am.

Bus tickets can no longer be purchased.
