The public are invited to attend this Otaki free community event ‘Music Festivals & Events NZ Otaki Summer Music Carnival- A Wellington Anniversary Weekend Celebration’, part of the Music Festivals & Events NZ Kapiti Summer Music Events 2023, a District Wide Celebration of Summer Live Music. The event will be held at ‘Memorial Gardens’, Main Street, Otaki on Saturday 21st January from 10.30am to 4.00pm.
Music starts for the day at 10.30am with DJ ‘Just Press Play’, who will continue throughout the day between live acts, and conclude the day performing through to 4.00pm.
Event organiser Chris Craddock said, “What better way to spend a Wellington Anniversary Weekend afternoon enjoying local and national musical talent in the perfect surroundings of Memorial Gardens listening to a selection of outstanding music performed by the District`s best musicians. Bring yourself (and the family), a picnic basket, blanket, and come early to enjoy five hours of live Rock, Blues, Soul, R&B, and Jazz. Not forgetting the free Children`s entertainment with complimentary Bouncy Castle and Community Coin Sausage Sizzle”.

The event is at the ‘Memorial Gardens’, Main Street, Otaki, during the performance hours of 10.30am to 4.00pm Saturday 21st January 2023. Wet Weather Venue: Civic Theatre Veranda, Main Street, Otaki.
During the evening the event will move to ‘The Tele’, with a further five hours of live music. Starting at 8pm. The opening act will be local identity soloist James Kereama Stent, followed by jump at 9pm, Sink Boat at 10pm and popular local band Mystix from 11pm to close.
