Historian Michael Fowler will be repeating his talk "Parawhenuamea: The Untamed Rivers of Hawke's Bay", but with new material on the Twyford, Pakowhai Road area and Havelock North flooding.
The illustrated talk will cover pre-European settlement, and some of the major floods of the Heretaunga region and the subsequent attempts to control what seemed untamable rivers.
