Explore the Universe at our adults-only Planets + Pints night out in Tūhura Otago Museum’s incredible 360’ Planetarium. Bring mates, a date, or fly solo at this out-of-this-world experience!

We’ll be launching the night with an astronomical adventure through space with our interactive Night Sky Live Planetarium Show.

Marvel at an Aurora Australis, fly to the far side of the Moon, learn what’s special in the heavens above tonight, or maybe journey to the centre of our galaxy… the options are limitless!

After a short intermission, journey into the imagined world of space with a screening of Ridley Scott’s sci-fi horror classic Alien. Join the crew of the Nostromo, a commercial space tug, heading back to Earth after a mission. When they receive a distress call from a nearby moon, everything changes, and two very valuable lessons are learned. 1) In space, no-one can hear your scream, and 2) Only an idiot ignores the advice of Sigourney Weaver.

This is an 18+ event, cash bar available.
