Learn the basics of baking without animal products in this accessible course for newcomers and experienced bakers alike. All ingredients included in course fee

Description
Whether you’re having some vegan friends over, are vegan yourself, or simply want to cut down on animal products, baking without eggs or milk can seem like a challenge at first. This course will show that on the contrary, vegan baking can be fun, cheap, and easy.

Over our four weeks together, we will learn how to bake a variety of sweet and savoury delights. From basic muffins and scones, to slices and Portuguese tarts, anything can be made without animal products without compromising on taste, texture, or presentation.

The recipes included in this course have been supplemented by suggestions from previous students to include everything that a beginning baker might need to know when you’re starting out.

All ingredients provided but bring an apron, tea towels and a dish cloth and containers to take any leftovers home.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
- Create both sweet and savoury muffins
- Use butter substitutes to make vegan scones
- Bake a Portuguese tart using egg substitutes.
- Make a slice without needing an oven.

Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly. If you need to cancel your registration, here are our terms and conditions: "What You Need to Know".
