Polish Comics and their Creators exhibition.
Comics were outlawed as a ‘demoralising Western influence’ from 1947-57 in Eastern Bloc Poland. Find out about the fight for publication freedom by graphic illustrators and authors as well as a survey of their works. Part of East Auckland Art Trail 2023 and Polish Parliament Year of (in 2023). The Polish Museum is a "GLAM" Gallery, Library, Archive & Museum for all.
Howick is a destination that offers variety including Howick beach, Stockade Hill, various Fencible sites and historical walks, All Saints Church, Uxbridge Creative Arts Centre, Te Tuhi Gallery and Howick Historical Village.
The quaint Howick village shops are a 5-minute walk from the museum and the Botany Town Centre is a 10-minute drive.
