Relay For Life is a fun day out the whole family will enjoy while also raising vital funds for the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society.
Relay brings the community together to celebrate and remember the people we love with cancer. There's great food, music from acts like DJ Bones and Simon Hirst, Zumba, rock painting, a volleyball tournament, massage and bouncy castle fun. Spectators will enjoy cheering on participants as they keep their batons moving around the track while also enjoying moving ceremonies such as the Survivors Lap and Candlelight Ceremony.
All proceeds go towards continuing Cancer Society's free services in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. This includes supportive care services from an experienced nurse, transport to treatment, frozen meals, wellbeing grants (counselling), support groups and programmes, and accommodation at the Cancer Society's Lions Lodge for people undergoing treatment at Waikato Hospital.
