Want to learn how to sew on a button? Hem your pants? Fix that pesky rip with some gorgeous visible mending? Or maybe you're keen to dig through some fabric scraps and make your own scrunchie?!

Join us for a beginner-friendly, completely free, and totally fun sewing workshop! Sarah Sew Love brings her years of sewing experience and engaging teaching style to the workshop, and will support you to learn new skills and develop rusty ones too. (Check out her Instagram in the link above!). All ages welcome.

BYO item that needs repairing or a little TLC, and we'll help you breathe new life into it. We'll supply a range of fabric scraps and inspiration, but please BYO fabric or any special trims or accessories you may want to incorporate.

Make sure you book asap to reserve a sewing machine! (If this event reaches capacity, we may release further tickets if those participants are happy to sew by hand.)

We've also got a workshop for more experienced sewists in the afternoon. Check out all our great Slow Fashion September events by clicking on our 'Waipā Waste Minimisation' profile link above.
