A feel good way to end the week: have a roll around! Rolling is a term used for self massage using balls, aka amazing, deep relief! Even if you have your own set of balls, most people have the best intentions but don't do this at home. So come along for a whole hour of glorious massage, stretching & rolling around, then a guided relaxation.
Self-massage: using balls & breath work we’ll roll the upper body: hands, arms, shoulders, chest, back & neck; exploring, softening & releasing tension & adhesions in the myofascial network. I'll guide you through safe ways to explore tension using balls in different ways in a range of positions. Also great to learn as a pre or post workout tool. One bonus of this type of 'massage' is that you can control the pressure yourself using ball, body weight, movement options & use of the wall or floor. Yoga Tune Up Therapy balls available for purchase in class.
Yoga nidra: for deeper release we finish lying down with a guided relaxation. Yoga nidra, like a 'yogic sleep', is a powerful tool for deep relaxation and healing. Everyone is welcome - no experience with yoga or meditation necessary - this is a guided practice, making it very accessible. Yoga nidra is a deeply restorative, regenerative experience for body & mind.
90mins end of week bliss! You're also welcome to stay for a cuppa and chat after class.

About Kasha
I've started teaching fitness classes 30 years ago and then shifted to yoga 15 years ago. I especially love leading this kind of slow practice that's so accessible and beneficial on many levels. I practice yoga through teachings from Ashram Yoga 500hr and am influenced by my background in public health, fitness instructing, pilates and many styles of yoga. Please let me know if you have any questions.
