The Autumn Season of Scared Scriptless has fall'in, so get in before it leaves!
(Puns sooo intended!)
From 50 show ideas, we culled it down to our top six ranging from classic murder mystery to crazy song contests, supernatural crime to zombie horror, to celebrate the Eve of the Coronation. With this line-up, we know that we’re offering something for everyone.
Scared Scriptless: Friday
21 April – 10.15pm
While attending Cleverbore Academy, Burnside’s premiere school for young weirdos, Friday Madam's must contend with her emerging powers of .............., stop a violent spree of ......... and solve the 40-year-old Christchurch mystery of .............. in the............ Come for the comedy, stay for the killing.
Scared Scriptless: the Jest of Us
28 April – 8pm Special
It's post-apocalyptic Ōtautahi Christchurch, Riverside is in ruins, the tram endlessly circles the city in flames, and people don't even ask each other what school they went to anymore. Cantabrians have been decimated by a plague that turns them into zombie like Australians. An all-in cast performs for your joy, and those that don't meet your expectations are given over to the zombie horde, until we find the one immune survivor.
Scared Scriptless: the Crowning
5 May – 10.15pm
On the eve of the Coronation, we deep dive into the Royal family's past, present....and future. We will answer all your questions from: what is William really into with Kate's sister? Who is Camilla going to smite once Queen? And what was Elizabeth’s last f#$% you to Charles? To the future of what Charles secretly plans to do once King, what scandals await...and...does Diana make a comeback?
Scared Scriptless: Jestovision Song Contest
12 May – 10.15pm
Small town Kiwi singers have had enough of being excluded from Eurovision, and finally NewstalkZB have given funding for the first ever Aotearoa version. Rival towns will clash, dubious talent will be tested, and Gore will be burnt to the ground. You pick the towns; we will bring the characters. Only one song, from one town can win.
Scared Scriptless: Knives In
19 May – 10.15pm
Lea-Ann Diesel, Canterbury's most respected crime novelist, is found dead in a tube of the Cardboard Cathedral. As Detective Davo Davidson (Kaiapoi's best private dick) investigates, things rapidly escalate, and it becomes clear some of Christchurch's most elite are up to their balls* in it. *eyeballs that is.
Scared Scriptless: Spanked Scriptless (r18)
26 May – 10.15pm
A little bit naughty, a little bit cheeky, and a whole lot kinky. Players will submit to their Master and Mistress or face punishment. This is an adult-only show (strictly R18), but don't worry only the players are in danger of being spanked...unless...you want to be...
