The exhibit of photographic images by Fiona Clark celebrating the courage, strength, and tenacity of our lesbian sapphic communities over the 50 years since Gay Liberation has been on during the Auckland Pride Festival.
There will be closing event at the Studio One Toi Tu K'Rd pop up Gallery space this Thursday.
This will be the last chance to see Fiona's new photographic portraits, as well as photos from her archive depicting the complexities of our identities and shared cultural experiences. This exhibit embraces those complexities, and looks to champion a collective spirit and elevate lesbian sapphic voices back onto K'Rd for Auckland Pride, so often the backdrop to our collective lives.
The Charlotte Museum will support Fiona by including items from our collections that complement the works on show. Through this collaboration our communities can engage with a creative expression of narratives that reflect who we are and the cultural experience in which we all play a part.
