Sing Up Choirs

You are invited to join the talented Tomuri-te-awa Spicer, and hundreds of tamariki and their teachers from nine Dunedin primary schools, who will be singing a selection of songs to celebrate the international Sing Up Day.

Tomuri, a 2023 Six60 Scholarship recipient, was commissioned to write a song for the UK based Sing Up organisation for their global Sing Up Day in June. He was one of three finalist songwriters selected, and his song, Blossom Out, was released to participating schools this term (along with a song from Wales and a song from South Africa).

The theme of this exciting event is 'Global voice and the things that connect us – the earth, the sea, and the air we breathe'. A wonderful kaupapa for our tamariki in Aotearoa NZ schools.
