We're excited to welcome back Damien Kurth to share his artistic knowledge and skills!

This sketching and drawing workshop is designed for the absolute beginner through to the exhibiting artist.

We will look at techniques and approaches on how to work in a dynamic manner to create believable and convincing realistic imagery.

Focus will be put on building skills and confidence to use these skills that will benefit the Sunday painter, the passionate sketcher, the studio based artist or the person just starting their artistic journey.

Emphasis will be put on getting proportions, tone, colour and mark making; working in unison with each individuals vision and ideas.

The workshop will be run in a friendly and supportive atmosphere where enjoyment of the materials and process is forefront.

Subject matter will range from reference images of people and portrait, still life objects i.e fruit, vegetables etc. Participants are welcome to come along with their own object or subject matter, but it will need to be run past the tutor first via email.

Bring a snack or lunch and if you have your own A4 or A3 drawing or watercolour pad please feel free to bring it along.

This is the third of three workshops where participants can come along to one, two or all three and have a more in depth learning experience.
