The 16 April show will feature Colette Rivers, Yann le Dorre and Luca Joass.
Colette Rivers - Wairarapa based, Indie-Folk artist/producer, will knock your socks off, beautiful harmonies, intricate and interesting arrangements, and a lyrical smorgasbord- a feast of story-telling and captured moments. Following the release and tour of her debut album, 'Memory in 2021, Rivers has released singles, ‘Heaven & Earth’ and most recently the haunting ballad, ‘Me & You,’- a song about her dear friend who had recently died and their time spent together in Wellington and LA.
Yann le Dorre - Yann Le Dorré sings saturnine folk songs for modern times and the stars too high in the sky. Drawing from 70’s singer-songwriters, outlaw country legends and 90’s grunge acts, he writes for the divorces and drunkards in a series of acoustic reports from the rain-drenched capital.
Luca Joass - You won’t find Luca much happier than with a guitar in his hands and a song in his heart. Whether he’s busking in the streets, playing for a crowd, or at home on the couch, he’ll play until his fingers are sore and his voice croaky (and then a little longer). Luca grew up travelling around the NZ folk scene with his parents, and quickly took to performing on his own. Now a young man (or perhaps old boy), Luca plays around NZ, taking inspiration from his folk background, and bringing it an alternative, modern, twist.
