In July we have the pleasure of having Amber-Jayne Bain - a very talented Wellington commercial photographer - come to teach us the intricacies of still life photography. This will be a hands-on workshop where Amber-Jayne guides us in small groups to create, light and photograph our own still life tableaus. Participants are encouraged to bring any objects they may like to include and we will have a range of objects on hand to be utilized as well. Amber-Jayne is a master of lighting and is also an excellent teacher so it's worth coming to this event even if still life is not your genre. Her workshop for NZIPP in 2020 was an absolute highlight of the year which is why we have begged her to come back and teach us again.
Amber-Jayne describes her work as "My passion for shadow and light, and expression and space has grown and tilted, and I love nothing more than the delicious pleasure of making images that get you to feel something. I will not be tied to a singular genre - rather, my work is about a way of seeing, of telling the truth, or at least a version of it."
This workshop is limited to 20 participants and is sure to sell out fast so get your tickets asap to not miss out.
