Spend a Sunday afternoon floating away with the music of Sounds of the Shore Chorus & Kita Duo as they share their talents in vocal harmony & jazz fusion guitar.

With their beautifully unique voices and a repertoire that spans from golden oldies to modern pop favourites, Sounds of the Shore will mesmerise you with their barbershop harmonies. They are a vibrant & exciting women's chorus based on Auckland's North Shore. Their members are beautifully unique, of different backgrounds, ages and occupations who connect through friendship, and a love of singing & performing.

As for Kita Duo, get ready to be transported to the vibrant world of Gypsy swing jazz, beloved jazz standards, and instrumental guitar classics.

Originally a Trio formed in 2018 with a desire to perform Gypsy swing jazz music. They went on to perform before Gitbox Rebellion, Nigel Gavin’s 10 piece guitar orchestra. Now a Duo, after the sad passing of Peter Kirkbride in 2020, Russell Hughes and Kim Halliday are founding members of Gitbox and involved in Guitar Craft courses with Robert Fripp. Kim has been a performer in 15 bands and has over 35 recorded works to her name. She has been commissioned by dance and theatre companies for her composition skills. Russell Hughes took part in the 1st course in NZ with Robert Fripp, and was heavily involved in the recording of two of 2 of Gitbox's albums. He is currently in Gitbox Rebellion and Kita Duo.

This concert is a celebration of diversity, friendship, and the power of music. Don't miss this enchanting fusion of vocal magic and jazz brilliance!
