Sunday Concert Series - Nick Hyde

Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō presents Sunday Concert Series, showcasing talented Aotearoa New Zealand musical artists performing across a wide range of genres and styles. The series is held on the last Sunday of the month in the Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō Main Space and is entirely free of charge.

Join us in September for the debut of Nick Hyde!

Nick is a Wellington-based artist who is releasing his debut album "The Mountain" in November. His songs come straight from the heart, with thoughtful, soulful lyrics that draw inspiration from his personal experiences in life. With a muscial style inspired by the likes of Ryan Adams, the Goo Goo Dolls and Ed Sheeran, Nick blends elements of alternative rock with deep acoustic melodies and raw, emotional vocals to create a unique New Zealand sound.

New to the scene, Nick is touring the North Island promoting both his single "As The Water Runs Down" and his album release, so come on down to Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō to hear this promising musician at the start of his career for an hour of acoustic versions of select tracks from his discography.

Additionally, the Library Cafe opens especially for these concerts, so you can have a coffee or food while enjoying some good music!
