Swamp City Roller Derby: Learn to Skate 2023

Learn to Skate with Swamp City Roller Derby!

This is an opportunity for anyone aged 16+ to give roller skating a go.

For $15 per session, our friendly coaches will teach you the essential skills of roller skating, such as stopping and turning, with lots of games and laughing in the mix too!

Along with great coaching, session charge includes skates and safety gear. You are welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer.

These sessions are for anyone who has never skated before or if you are a but rusty and want to brush up, come along - our coaching crew will have the next challenge for you!

After four weeks you should be well on your way to river skating or you can progress onto our Learn to Skate for Derby course which builds on the skills taught in these sessions. More info to follow on this.

Location is Bell Hall, Waldegrave street, Palmerston North.
