Come and embrace a special opportunity to engage your senses in the creation of artwork inspired by pūrākau (Māori myths and legends) in the sanctuary.

We're honoured to have talented visual artist Regan Balzer (Te Arawa, Ngāti Ranginui) and renowned Taonga Puoro (traditional Māori instruments) expert Horomona Horo (Ngāpuhi, Taranaki, Ngāti Porou), combine their artistic talents to deliver a unique experience of storytelling through paint and the sounds of the land through traditional Maori instruments. A brilliant way to celebrate Matariki and the connection of Māori art with nature.
