Mā te pūoro, te mana whakaora | Music has the ability to heal

Community choir Wellington City Chorus joins Wellington Museum for Takurua Hauora: Winter Wellness – a series of events promoting health and wellbeing.
Escape the cold and join us on the ground floor of Wellington Museum for a free choral performance inspired by Sir Mason Durie’s Whare Tapa Whā model.
Music and group singing does wonders for our wellbeing and sense of connection to each other. Let their song recharge your batteries as their uplifting voices reverberate throughout the museum.

Sunday 25 June | 11am – 11:30am | Wellington Museum

About Wellington City Chorus:
Wellington City Chorus is a group of dedicated and talented women (and one man) who perform Barbershop style.

Wellington City Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International. A non-profit organisation dedicated to teaching, learning, and singing four-part harmony, through performances and teaching, perpetuating, and creating a love for this style of acapella singing in our community.
The themes of taha whānau and taha hinegaro, and music’s power to heal and connect people from diverse backgrounds, resonate strongly with the community chorus.
