The Tauranga Big Band is always a festival family favourite – a vibrant, large ensemble of the Bay of Plenty’s best musicians who love to bring jazz to life.
This year in a special concert they showcase some of New Zealand’s most innovative composers - from the funky feel of Oscar Lavën, the wonderfully crafted works of Wayne Senior, the hard-hitting grooves of Lauren Ellis, and the smooth sounds of Ryan Brake. A perfect opportunity to experience some of the best jazz and original music New Zealand has to offer as well as hear the amazing talent in our own backyard!
They will also perform their favourite Big Band classics so get your tickets quick for the family and keep them swingin’
