We provide the venue for many community focused activities, such as Equestrian events where
Equestrian Competitor's travel as far afield as Hastings and
Auckland, for a chance to qualify for the annual Horse of the Year
Competition. Our Home-Industries section covers a wide range of activities
such as Knitting, Sewing, Needlework, Art, Photography, Cake Decorating. These
competitions are open to all age groups, genders and nationalities. In
addition to this, various community groups (work still in progress)
Fun Dog Ring, Tasman A -Z Band , get an opportunity to display their talents to the public. Novelty Competitions such as a Fun Dog Ring, Most Impressive Rooster, and Dress your pet Lamb, Gum Boot Throwing. We have the Little Entertainment Company, Face Painting and Balloon animals for the children, along with Clydesdale drawn wagon rides, and a display of Vintage farm vehicles displaying what was used for farming in days gone by.
