Thank Grafia It's Friday

It's the monthly outing for Grafia (Grateful for it all) at one of the friendliest well- catered for cafe's in Masterton, Madison's on First St. Lansdowne. The host/chef there is Dean Lawton and his wife Margie manages the very personable team who look after everyone's appetite for good food and a great variety of drinks including the best espresso in the region.

The band originated in Masterton when Keith Austin who plays keyboards and sings bvs linked with Rob Maunsell about twelve years ago deciding to work up a set of songs to play at what was named The Thursday Night Music Club at The Mastertion Club. Rob is the lead singer, plays harmonica and rhythm guitar. He also manages the line-up which has evolved to now include Steve Shivas on lead guitar, Franklin Walker on drums, Maria Warrington singing bvs and Paul Maunsell on bass when he can make it.

The next Friday evening showing is on Jan 27 and before that on Sunday Jan 15 Keith, Maria and Rob will be playing songs outside Madisons from 1.00pm to 3.30pm. It's a great space for an outdoors gig if it doesn't rain or blow from the East or South.
