Quacktastic Fun at the Canterbury Duck Race: A Family Event Not to Be Missed!

Canterbury City, Sunday November 5th 2023 – Get ready to witness a flurry of excitement and quacking mayhem at the highly anticipated annual Great Canterbury Duck Race! Proudly presented by Life Education Trust Canterbury, this fun-filled family event promises to delight attendees of all ages, taking place on the picturesque banks of the River Avon in the heart of Christchurch central city.

Duck enthusiasts, families, and nature lovers alike are invited to gather together, as hundreds of rubber ducks take to the water for three thrilling races like no other. There is no cost to attend and support the invite or participants can choose to adopt their very own adorable rubber duck for $10. Available through prior online purchase or at the event on the day making them eligible to compete in the Community Duck Race for a chance to win fabulous prizes and support a fantastic cause. All proceeds from the duck adoptions will go towards Life Education Trust Canterbury, making it a heartwarming experience that gives back to the community.

While the main attraction is undoubtedly the duck races themselves, the Canterbury Duck Race offers much more than just feathered fun. There will be face painting, photo opportunities with Harold the Giraffe himself and a merchandise table with Harold souveniers. Families can also enjoy a leisurely stroll by the river, taking in the beautiful sights and sounds of the busy city centre. The Canterbury Duck Race isn't just about the rivalry among the rubber ducks; it's a day to celebrate unity and community and support Life Education Canterbury to raise key funds.
