The Martinis

In the Middle Ages alchemists dreamed of the transmutation of base metals into gold. In the 1950s, jazz musicians transformed music into pure refined coolness. Think of an enormous martini: 60 pints of gin, 10 cups of vermouth, and 300 olives. Now pour that mixture into the bell of a trombone and stir with a golden saxophone. The result: a music so cool that only Hashigo Zake could present it!
