Theatre New Zealand, supported by Christchurch City Council, presents eight of the best one act plays from Aotearoa's community theatre groups at TheatreFest National ShowCase over 2 sessions. Buy a season pass for a great weekend of entertainment.

Over 50 community theatre teams have been vying for a place at ShowCase since early July at keenly contested preliminary festivals across the motu. It is over 10 years since the Festival Finals have been held in Ōtautahi Christchurch so this is really a special weekend for the theatre community. Door sales available 1 hour before if not sold out prior.

Alongside the ShowCase sessions will be 2 workshops led by experts in their fields.

Saturday 9th, 10.00am-1.00pm - Bringing Greater Life to Performance: This workshop will introduce different concepts and exercises from The Ecole Philippe Gaulier with facilitator Blaise Barham.

Sunday 10th, 9.00am - 11.00am - The Actors Voice: This workshop will engage you in practical exercises, giving you clear tools to develop your voice to achieve support, core vocal strength, range and resonance with facilitator Deborah Percy.
