Stress is one of the most commonly described contributing factors in the development of anxiety disorders. But the mechanisms by which stress causes anxiety in the brain remain unknown. In this talk, Dr Joon Kim from the Department of Physiology at the University of Otago will share the story of how we study the stressed brain, and present new research that sheds light on how stress gives rise to anxiety.
