Held in the hall at the St John's Church Centre (the Golden Church) in Kensington, Whangarei, a quiet and spacious venue that is a part of the complex with a beautiful wooden floor. Note that there is plenty of off-street parking behind the complex.
Yoga with Rishi Iyer, from Shraddha Yoga and Meditation. Rishi is a trustee of this registered non-profit organization and completed a RYT200 yoga teacher training with Premaloka from Ritual Yoga on Waiheke Is.
Enjoy an authentic, balanced class of yoga Asana (postures) and yoga Nidra (deep relaxation). Suitable for all, as you practice at your own pace and level.
Each class starts and finishes with 3 repetitions of Om, which you can either join in with or simply sit quietly in the vibration of.
$10 the first time then purchase a concession card to keep each class at this rate (these cards do not expire).
Note that the usual casual rate is $15.
A similar morning yoga class also runs at 10 a.m. on Thursday mornings at the same venue.
There is also an evening class at 5.15 p.m. at this venue on a Tuesday.
A Monday class is held at 6 p.m. in the upstairs lounge at Mangakahia Sports Complex, Poroti.
A Wednesday class is held at 5.30 p.m. at Kara Kokopu hall, Maungatapere.
Bring yoga mat, water bottle and a covering to put over you for relaxation (e.g. a sarong or cotton material in the summer, blanket in the winter.
