The Tūhura Otago Museum team are bringing a space showcase to Tūrangi (18 - 20 May)!

The Tūhura Tuarangi – Aotearoa in Space showcase is packed with hands-on interactives to play, build, launch, and explode with the whole whānau.

Visitors can try their hand at building a satellite, launching a rocket, or even making (and exploding!) clean, green rocket fuel. Come and hold a 4.5 billion year old meteorite and learn about our shared whakapapa with the night sky, as well as exploring Aotearoa New Zealand's connections to space that stretch back to our earliest Polynesian navigators.

The showcase will be setup in Tongariro School Hall on Waipapa Rd, Tūrangi.
