Create your own beautiful twisted silver ring in this quick and fun workshop! A great stand-alone class or if you've taken one of our other taster classes this is an excellent addition to your jewellery collection!
Learn to measure your finger, soften and twist square copper or brass bar into a sweet spiral, or only twist one part of the bar to create a feature twist. Switch over into solid sterling silver to repeat the twist, and cut to length to fit your finger. Then use a jewellers torch, sandpaper and polishing, and your new shiny silver twist will be ready to wear.
This 3-hour class is ideal for beginners, groups of friends and visitors to the city.
Included in the class fee are copper and brass for practising on, up to 6 grams of sterling silver and all consumables such as sandpaper, solder and chemicals. Extra metals are available for purchase in the studio.
Kids aged 12 (or so) are welcome to attend the class, but any person under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an enrolled parent or caregiver.
