Waihora Homestead Plein Air Weekend Workshop

Enjoy a relaxing weekend of landscape drawing with us at Waihora Homestead in the southern Wairarapa

We are running our Plein Air and Interior Landscape Drawing Workshop, a fully-catered art weekend away with creative, supportive people in a beautiful historic homestead and garden location.

Your experience begins mid afternoon on a Friday through to late afternoon on Sunday. The workshop is two full days of learning and exploring drawing techniques; freehand perspective, proportion, composition, and the inclusion of figures in drawings.

Tuition and demonstrations will be held in the mornings. The afternoons will be free time with support from the tutor to practice and enjoy landscape drawing. Plein air drawing is done outside, direct from the real subject, not from photographs. The skills you will learn could be used for personal exploration, artwork creation, or even a travel diary. All levels and experience are welcome.
