Catch the train* from Wellington or walk/bike/bus/drive from the Wairarapa!

Rainbow people and their allies walk from Carterton Station to town, to celebrate Transgender Awareness Week; an opportunity to chat and meet rainbow locals.

Welcoming rainbow people, from Wellington and Wairarapa to the town honoured with the world’s first openly transgender Mayor, Georgina Beyer MNZM.

A short walk suitable for heels, to a local hostelry for buy-your-own refreshments and food.

Bring cash or card for pizza and drinks at Chappelli's (at the queer-friendly Marquis of Normanby, pay there).
