Waitangi Day - Te Rā o Waitangi

Presented by Wellington City Council, Te Rā o Waitangi is a free, family-friendly event in the heart of the city where we can honour the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, acknowledge our history, and recognise the power of coming together – and everyone is invited!

Bring your friends and whānau, and enjoy an award-winning line-up of Māori performers, food and culture.

Alongside the all-day performances, there will be food stalls and food trucks from 12 noon – 6pm, and activations from Mai FM.

Feast on the hāngi from 12 noon, but be quick, they sell out fast!
