Waitangi weekend whānau picnic and movie night: CANCELLED

Join Matamata-Piako District Council for an evening of free entertainment to commemorate Waitangi Day 2023.

Featuring food stalls, entertainment and family-friendly activities from 5pm, and a free open air, New Zealand movie 'Hunt for the Wilderpeople' from approximately 8pm (note movie start time is dependant on sunlight)

BYO picnic blanket/bean bags/cushions (no chairs as they may damage the croquet lawn). BYO food also welcome.

This is a smoke, vape, alcohol and pet free event - bought to you by Te Manawhenua Forum mō Matamata-Piako, Te Kaunihera ā-rohe o Matamata-Piako (Matamata-Piako District Council), and Manatū Taonga (Ministry of Culture & Heritage).
