Highwic was home to the Buckland family for over 100 years, and during that time some curious objects were collected by the family.

This special exhibition brings together a number of remarkable items from Highwic’s collection whose purpose or function is not immediately clear. Visitors to the house will have the opportunity to see these unique items, have a guess as to what they are, and then uncover the answer to the question, What am I?

The exhibition will include items that have not previously been on public display including a rubber cushion and an intriguing card game that Alfred Buckland might have played.
Entrance to this exhibition is included with entry to the house: adults $10, children and Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga members free.

Highwic is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10.30am to 4.30pm - last entrance to the house at 3.45pm.
