What’s In Your Future Taupō?

What do you want to see – for you, for your community, for future generations?

Every three years, Taupō District Council develops a Long-term Plan that sets the direction and budget over a ten-year period.

Join us at our evening drop-in session where you can chat to our team and local Councillors, learn more about the upcoming Long-term Plan and what it may mean for you and your community. Plus there will be a $50 Prezzie card up for grabs for one lucky attendee on the night!

Some of the ideas we’d like your say on include:

• The future of kerbside waste and recycling collection in our urban areas.
• Investigating other ways to get across the Waikato River.
• Coming up with a long-term plan to improve the Great Lake Centre and Taupō Events Centre.
• More activities for kids at AC Baths, such as a splash pad.
• Improving Secombe Park and Wharewaka Point Reserve.
• Working with partners to improve community housing.
• Widening major rural roads.
• Sealing gravel rural roads.
• Major upgrades to our water and wastewater treatment plants to ensure drinking water is safe and to protect the environment.
