Outside the Box is an expo for disabled people within the Wellington region. Its vision is to help you and your family explore the opportunities available after secondary school. For some of you leaving school might be a while away. For others it might be on the horizon. Or, you may have already left school. No matter what stage you are at, this expo can support you to discover your next chapter.
With over 40 organisations supporting the event, there is something for everyone. Come and get support with a range of services including transition, employment, recreation, transport and education. There will also be interactive activities, a market area (selling products made by or for disabled people), live performances, food for purchase and quiet sensory spaces for all visitors.
The What's Outside the Box kaupapa is to think creatively about what a life for a disabled person could and should be like. Come along and be part of this exploration.
Join us on Saturday March 18th at Whitireia Polytechnic in Porirua - 10am to 2pm. No booking is required. For information please see our website www.whatsoutsidethebox.org.nz
