When the Smoke Clears, the Manurewa Potters Club

The Manurewa Potters Club, formed in 1974
and enabled local ceramic artists and potters
a space to gather and create pottery.

This exhibition features works from the Manurewa
Potters Club made by glazed raku firings,
created with high temperatures, and unglazed
pit firings.

The Club have done several of
these glazed raku firings over the past few
years with exciting results. Manurewa Potters
Club are delighted to be able to present recent
experimental and traditional works.
The club runs workshops every Wednesday in
the Sculpture Studio
