Winter Season Opening Day 2023

Waimea Harriers Winter Season Opening Day – Saturday 15 April

Meet at the Totara Picnic area, Moturoa/Rabbit Island. Join us for a light-hearted, all-ages, fun, free, relay event (walking and running options) to kick off our winter programme.

Registration from 1:45pm and teams are selected at 2:15pm. Make sure you arrive in plenty of time for team selection. The event will start at 2:30pm.

We are planning on having a fun, ever-so-slightly competitive 4-person team tag relay, running in opposite directions around a 3.5km trail loop.

Everyone is welcome – members, non-members, adults and kids, runners and walkers. Stay on afterwards and enjoy a free sausage sizzle!
