Writers on Mondays

A Kind of Shelter—Whakaruru-taha:

'Whakaruru-taha' is a fresh, exciting anthology featuring poetry, short fiction, and creative non-fiction, as well as visual art and kōrero between writers. Editors Witi Ihimaera and Michelle Elvy offer a ‘luminous hui,’ where creative thinkers talk about the world we live in and the future we’re heading towards, exploring decolonisation, indigeneity, and climate change.

This event is an opportunity to sample from this rich storehouse, hearing from co-editor Witi Ihimaera and contributors Emma Barnes, Janis Freegard, Brannavan Gnanalingam, Whiti Hereaka, Sudha Rao, Helen Rickerby and Alison Wong.

Writers on Mondays is presented by the International Institute of Modern Letters with the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, Circa Theatre and Phantom Billstickers National Poetry Day.
