Youth Surf Camp – December 2023

An Epic 4 Night, Fun Filled Adventure!

Experience an epic adventure for kids aged 8-16 with our all-inclusive Youth Surf Camp. Building on the success of our Aotearoa Surf holiday programs, this camp is designed to create confident and happy young surfers while providing them with the experience of a lifetime. Plus, it gives you the opportunity for a week's getaway in the scenic Te Arai area if you choose to be involved.

This Kids Surf Camp includes learn to surf lessons twice a day + kayaking, paddle boarding, and camp style adventures.

Everything included! Meals, accommodation, surf lessons, afternoon & evening activities, all equipment, right down to sunscreen This camp is very similar to The Ultimate Kids Surf Camp – however it differs in the following ways:

Much smaller, custom and less campers
4 nights instead of 5 nights
Transport is not included, all campers should transport to accommodation 11 Te Arai Point Rd as follows
-Check-in: 2pm, Monday 11th December
-Check-out: 11am, Friday 15th December
Aotearoa Surf will group sleeping quarters by gender and similar ages
Activities are grouped by similar ages

Location
60 minutes north of Auckland. Aotearoa Surf has everything a great kids’ camp needs, from great surf and safe swimming at the local beaches Te Arai and Forestry. We’ll be camping at Aotearoa Surf Headquarters, with awesome views looking out to rural pastures and Te Arai beach.

Ages
This camp is for ages 8 to 16 and is suitable for all levels of surfing and swimming ability – our team of experienced surf instructors and lifeguards will tailor lessons to suit.

Surfing
Daily surf lessons will take place at Te Arai or Forestry Beach, ensuring every participant is progressing and gaining ocean and surfing confidence. All equipment is provided by Aotearoa Surf.

Accommodation
We offer fun, dorm style accommodation grouped by ages and genders. Campers can choose to be in the same room as friends.

Meals
Nutritious meals and unlimited fruit are provided. All dietary requirements such as vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free can be catered for. Please contact in advance to let us know about any allergies or special dietary requirements.

Safety
Aotearoa Surf has been operating since 2002 (20 years +) with an exceptional safety record. We’re Surfing NZ & Water Safety approved for surfing and paddle boarding and have a fully qualified and experienced team. We operate a target 1:6-8 surfer ratio – one instructor per 6-8 children dependent on age and ability. Our surf instructors are highly trained and also surf lifesaving awarded, first aid certified. Our team has a lot of experience managing youth surf camps and large groups.
