AWHI Yoga and Wellbeing’s accredited 200hr YTT program is a comprehensive and thorough journey into becoming a 200 hr certified Yoga Teacher. We are the only vinyasa yoga teacher training in the world that blends Te Ao Māori and ancient yoga wisdoms, offering a uniquely 'Aotearoa' experience while retaining universal relevance for teaching and practicing yoga in any part of the world.
Our training is suitable for individuals interested in becoming a yoga teacher, or those looking to take a personal journey towards deepening your own practice and knowledge. Either way, we guarantee a transformative and life-changing experience that will deepen your relationship to yoga, others, Aotearoa and your self.
Our uniquely Aotearoa Teacher Training explores the beautiful marriage between ancient Yoga and Te Ao Māori teachings over five separate modules during our three months together. Our course follows the Māori hauora/wellbeing model of Te Whare Tapa Whā, which takes the same holistic view of health taken by traditional Yoga. As we work through each pillar we start tapping into something way greater than ourselves, enabling us to connect with our purpose in life and how we might share this in service to the world!
Our training occurs over five modules, and includes two online wānanga (discussion). The wānanga dates will be scheduled in relation group availability.
Pillar 1 - Whenua: Thurs 6th June - Sun 9th June
Pillar 2 - Tinana: Thurs 27th June - Sun 30th June
Pillar 3 - Hinengaro: Thurs 18th July - Sun 21st July
Pillar 4 - Wairua: Thurs 8th August - Sun 11th August
Pillar 5 - Whānau: Thurs 29th Aug - Sun 1st Sept

Our training covers the anatomy, philosophy, ethics and professional skills required to be a certified yoga teacher. Upon successful completion of our training, you will be ready and able to teach Vinyasa Yoga.
Tuition includes full training at AWHI Yoga & Wellbeing studio for all dates and complementary yoga membership at AWHI Yoga & Wellbeing for the duration of training. Required texts, accommodation or travel costs to the studio are not included.
