Yoga Nidra is the Yogic Way of Sleep or 'Psychic sleep'. It is a traditional yogic technique of deep relaxation, usually practiced while lying on the back.
Yoga Nidra is a technique for getting rid of everyday stress and finding inner peace and relaxation. In Yoga Nidra, awareness lies between sleep and wakefulness - instructions given in this state successfully eliminate unwanted habits and tendencies.
As a result of physical, emotional, or mental tension, you accumulate stress in your muscular, emotional, and mental systems. By systematically practicing yoga nidra, this triple tension is progressively reduced.
