Price includes astonishingly good buffet dinner, at the Kapiti Coast's most beautiful intimate music venue.
A stellar lineup playing variations on the swing genre - elements of blues, rock'n'roll, jazz and country styles pervade. Explosive instrumental soloists Wayne 'The piano is really a percussion instrument' Mason and Brian 'the sax fiend' Omundsen let rip over driving rhythm section of Kirsten London (bass) and Ryan Watson (drums) assisted by Andrew London (guitar), who wrangles this herd of cats.
Repertoire includes plenty of Andrew's most-requested cynical originals like 'I Think I'll Buy a Yacht' (very topical) and 'Country's Buggered' (likewise). Covers by The Beatles and Led Zeppelin are swung to within an inch of their lives, along with much-loved traditional standards more associated with the genre by Louis Jordan and Louis Prima.
This will be our last Winemaker's gig of the Summer - we will be cooking folks. (note to self- use the comma more often) We will be cooking, folks.
