Help create a giant tapestry-collage using fallen leaves, twigs and other natural materials gathered within the park. Plus on location will be a host of nature events: music, food and coffee and nature activities for all ages. Special guest appearance by Suzy Cato.

Nature events have separate listings to explain what each group is offering as part of Art play in nature, Chingford Park: Branch Dwellers, Department of Conservation, Enviroschools, Extinction Rebellion, Predator Free Dunedin, Open VUE, Otago Regional Council, Rocks for Tots with Geology Department of Otago University, Town Belt Kaitiaki and Tūhura Otago Museum.

All events are free or koha and no booking before the event required (places will be on first in first served basis).

Art Play is weather dependent – check our Facebook for cancellations. Should Sunday 21st be wet or too windy the Art Play event will be postponed until Sunday 28th as it needs to be an enjoyable experience for everyone. If bad weather persists on Sunday 28th then the art event will be cancelled but the supporting events will move to an inside venue (advised at the time) .There will be cameras on location to record the day and especially to record the completed ephemeral artwork.
