Come and honour the culture and food of Palestine with us! Gaza native Nehad Albatniji is on the tools bringing the flavours of his home to Devonport including fresh falafel, dolma, makhlouba, baklava and of course hummus by the bucket.
We'll also have appearances from Palestinian ID and other local artists raising money selling merchandise and other supportive items and live music playing late.
Free entrance for kids under 18. If the cost of living is a bit much for you and your whānau at the moment please email sam@vondel.co.nz for alternative ticketing assistance.
Tickets include non-alcoholic bubbles (or an alternative soft drink from Karma Drinks) on arrival, dinner, dessert, and Arabic tea/coffee. Additional beverages will be available for purchase.
100% of ticket proceeds will go to helping Nehad bring his wider family to safety. Further proceeds from beverage sales, raffles, and donations will be donated to Kia Ora Gaza and Imami Medics International.
This is an alcohol-free event.
