Broccoli x Queer Joy is an art exhibition organised by InsideOUT Kōaro and funded by Wellington City Council Creative Communities. It will open at Thistle Hall Gallery in Te Whanganui-a-Tara from March 12 - 17, during the 2024 Wellington Pride Festival.
The uniting visual theme of this art exhibition is the broccoli, which our community has embraced as a symbol of queer joy and frivolity. The exhibition will highlight broccoli-inspired artworks from across Aotearoa that explore and celebrate queer expression, identity, history, knowledge, whakapapa and humour.
